Meet the Founder
It Started with Family
I’ve spent my life around tools, engineering and motorcycles. Our family’s connection with engineering and the motor trade stretches back more than a century. I grew up around mechanics, plant fitters, racers and people who understood the value of a good tool.

Racing was always there.
My dad raced, and motorcycles became part of my life early. I raced in the 1970s and the paddock taught me something important: when a job has to be done, the tool either works or it doesn’t.
Engineering became the career.
I qualified as a Chartered mechanical engineer and spent my working life around manufacturing, procurement, operations and the shop floor. That experience showed me exactly what separates a proper tool from one that merely looks the part.

Premium brands were becoming more expensive, while too many lower-priced tools simply weren’t good enough. Gusto® was created to close that gap: professional-quality tools at honest prices, backed by a no-quibble lifetime guarantee and proper customer service.
Why Gusto®?
Not built overnight.
Although Gusto® Tool Co was officially founded in October 2025, the business and it's products had already been several years in the making. We sought out strong factories, worked with experienced engineers and refused to release products until they met the standard we wanted.

What comes next
The standard stays personal.
Gusto® Tool Co. is being built around a simple principle: listen to the people using the tools, improve the details that matter and never hide behind corporate language when a customer needs help.
The range will grow carefully, not for the sake of filling shelves, but when a product genuinely earns its place in a mechanic’s toolbox. That is the point of Gusto®: proper tools, honest value and a company that remains close to the workshop floor.
